Thank you to those participating in 2022/2023 tryouts. Our tryout registration numbers returned to pre-pandemic levels and it was great seeing so many kids back in the gym.

Our plan is to announce the teams by Columbus Day weekend.

We will meet as a board over the next week and review the independent evaluators team recommendations, review any outliers or inconsistencies with the prior season's coach evaluations and finalize the team placement.

Once the teams have been finalized, we will begin the process of finalizing the coaches for each team with the goal of announcing the teams the weekend of October 8th and 9th.

The Needham Metrowest Basketball Travel program is a competitive program for boys and girls, grades 4th thru 8th. The winter program competes in the Metrowest Basketball League which includes over 80 towns and 1,000 teams.  Individual and team development in the sport are the major goals of the league in addition to developing our young players in a respectful and supportive team environment.  The program typically offers a higher and lower division team in each age group.  Additional teams are added as practice gym space and other factors permit.  Players who live in Needham or attend Needham schools through the METCO program are eligible.  Players must play in the grade level that they attend that school year.

Tryouts are posted under the Home tab and will be announced in the Needham Times and will be been communicated via an email to all parents of children who tried out the prior year.  Please note you must register before the tryout – no exceptions.
